1237 Ordained and changed his name to Zeshobo Rencho
1239 Studied Nenbutsu and Zen Sects at Kamakura
1246 Advanced studies at Mt. Hiei, Kyoto for next 6 years
1253, 04/28 Proclamation of Odaimoku at Asahiga-mori, Seichozan. Changed his name to Nichiren
1260, 07/16 Rissho Ankoku Ron given to Hojo Tokiyori
  The First Persecution
1260, 08/27 Matsubagayatsu Persecution (arson on his hermitage)
1261, 05/13 Exiled to Ito, Izu Persecution
1263, 02/24 Exile pardoned and returned to Kamakura
1264, September Visited his sick mother and prayed for her recovery
