My Religious Experience:
A friend of mine in Japan asked me to seek Ms N who has been lost for over ten years in America.
There are few who know her. I had trouble in locating her. She had moved somewhere. I have no her telephone number nor address.
One day, chanting the Odaimoku, I opened a telephone book. One person's name came into my eyes. I dialed him right away. He had also no idea where the missing person is. While we were talking on the phone, he remembered a telephone number of a friends of the missing person. I tried calling her a few times. After ten o'clock at night, finally I made contact with her. She gave me a number which might be old and disconnected according to her.
I called the number anyway on the following day. It was in vain.
When I was chanting the sutra in the morning and prayed St. Nichiren for his advice. Then, I felt that I must go to the tomb of Ms. N's husband and her parents-in-laws. At the cemetery, I explained how badly I need to see Ms. N. "It was my fault that Ms. N and I became estranged. Please accept my apology. I will be back again." At that night, the missing person called me on the phone.
I was so surprised. I really experienced "the eternal life" which I had heard in sermons.
Right away, I reported the incident to St. Nichiren and appreciated him and chanted the Odaimoku. I was inspired deeply the Buddha's compassion.
