Simple Altar of Toba for the war dead and injured soul of the world.

...for the Victims of September 11th, 2001.
The War Dead in Afghanistan,
and the continuing conflict
in the Middle East between Israel & Palestine.

Everyday the Reverend of the Los Angeles Temple and individual Nichiren Shu members at their home altars pray and chant for Humanity at this time of great change.

This includes the Victims of the September 11th, 2001 World Trade Center attack, including the dead, the families of the dead, the injured, and all the trauma this tragedy has inflicted upon the American People and the more than 30 nations who lost citizens.

Our prayers extend also to the War Dead in Afghanistan, and also to the tragedy that continues to plague the Middle East in the cultural conflict between Israel & Palestine.

Let all of us who chant the great title of the Sutra Myohorengekyo with firm resolve and in a positive light send the healing force of Odaimoku to heal these diseases in human interaction. Pray for the dead on both sides so that they may release their anger and hatred.

Weekly Event

Active Prayer if important in Nichiren Shu Buddhism. We preserve the teachings of Nichiren Shonin as he taught them. This includes actively working toward world peace. We start by changing our minds and connecting deeply with the power of myohoregekyo.
 
Join us at the Los Angeles temple every 2nd Wednesday for chanting, meditation, visualization and prayer to spread the Hope for World Peace at our World Peace Chanting & prayer gathering. Especially, when inspired, Chant and Pray for the healing of this small planet.
 

May the merits of our chanting permeate throughout the spiritual world.

May we align with all other beings to work in greater harmony.

May our chanting brings us all insight into the proper and most effective way of accomplishing personal and planetary kosenrufu.
